GGGRAGHHHGH

I don't like it when I want to do something that I know I most probably can't. Seeing so many other people having the same dreams as me actually achieving it.. and I'm left behind. Partly my fault as well but still... I don't like the feeling. This is my last chance to prove myself but there's no motivation. SIGH. What am I doing here?

God, help me see what's there for me..

Blessed Easter ya'll

He died for me.

He died for you.

He conquered sin and death,

So we could live.

Jesus,

The name above all other names.

HE IS ALIVE!!

EYM Sarikei mission trip 08

I just got back from Sarikei a while ago. I must say it went well. Better than I thought it would. Personally, I can say I learned so much more this time around. It wasn't just about being in the worship team and jamming my Juno anymore but the ultimate ultimate ultimate lesson I learnt throughout the few days and even weeks before the trip was SUBMISSION.

Anyhoo.. this is how it went.

I arrived late, omigosh!! The bus was scheduled to leave at 7pm and I arrived at 715. Hahah! I kept the whole team of 36 waiting for me =p As you can see in the pic, I sat next to my dear buddy, Joy, with Nick and my cousin, Josh, behind. We arrived at SIB Bandar Sarikei at 3am.. I think. I woke up, trus had to angkat barang down from the bus. Dehh... heavy, you know those amps!!

The next morning, I had to do a 15 minute exhortation. Surprised? Yes.. me too. It was kinda cool the way I prepared for it. I read a verse in the Bible that struck me a few days before that. 1 Cor something. Forgot =p So I wrote it down in my notebook. I kinda figured out what I wanted to say but somehow I knew it wasn't enough, not quite the message God wanted me to say. Just minutes before my turn, I got super nervous and my mind just went blank. Serena, who was sitting beside me, told me to calm down, concentrate and write down what's in my heart (The exact words I told her before.. Hah. She quoted me!) And yeah, so I did. Suddenly, my head started filling up with all sorts of things and my hand wasn't fast enough to write it all down. God was just giving me all these ideas and it felt so right to say it. So, came my turn, I took the mike and started talking. When I was done, I came down, Serena said 'Wow... you preached' Haha! Praise God.

Then, we had workshops on worship. I have to admit, I was half asleep throughout the whole thing but at least I managed to take down some notes. Heheh.

Then there was the night rally. 'EXUBERANT' night.. Hahah. Like, SOO Ps John's word =)

They actually made a banner *salute*

During praise and worship

Then, there was Sunday service the next morning where Joanne and Michelle shared their testimonies (man.. I wish I had a picture of them) I've known them for a while but seeing them up there talking about the things God has done in their lives really encouraged me.

Ohh.. look look! Serena and I took these back in 2005 during the Free2Be rally. As you can see, the heading says 'Trying very hard to take a good picture'

Well, here's version '08. Hahah.

We had the last rally that night. I know a lot of people were touched and responded to God, not only the Sarikei youth but also our youth from Miri. This trip seriously taught me so much. If I typed it all down, this would be a super long post. Aiya.. there's only one word to explain this trip. EXUBERANT!!! Hahahah. One more word added to my vocab. Thanks Ps John! =)

So, basically that's what happened. Of course there's a lot more to it but, you know... one can only be so hardworking to a certain limit =p Nonetheless, my prayer is that we will not only leave the fire in Sarikei but also bring it back and keep it burning, ready to spread it to other places in the future. WohoOO!! Super exciting. Hehe..

Sarikei, here we come!!

Tomorrow is Sarikei already, guys.

Am I excited??

Yes!! I AM!!!!!! WOHOOO!!!!!!
Despite the fact that I won't be in Miri to see a certain budak gemuk after so long. Huhuuu..

Can't wait to see what God is going to do. Do keep us in prayer, yes?

And now... off to pack. Yipee!
