And reality hits....
There was a farewell dinner at my house tonight with my dad's side of the family. Sigh.. I never knew it would be this hard to say goodbye. My whole life, I never thought I would go to *jengjengjeng* Australia. Like, urgh right? Hahah! In fact, I never thought I'd do my degree outside of Malaysia. And here I am, just a week before flying to what would have been my most dreaded country if I had been asked this two years ago.
They were all saying their goodbyes, shaking hands, ladies would give me hugs, give me lui, give me advice. The best advice I heard tonight was from Aunty Pidang. I was sitting in the patio with the mums and the married. When someone goes off to another country like Aussie, they'll never fail to say "Jangan jangan nanti kamu bawa orang putih balik" and then they'd all burst into laughter even though that sentence is so cliche and overused. Lol. Then suddenly Aunty Pidang puts on a serious face and says to me, "No lah. No, no. I don't allow. I don't like you to bring back orang putih. Later susah mok cakap dengan dia". Sigh, true true. But not wrong to tengok-tengok scouting dolok.. right, aunty? Hahah. Then before she left, she came over to shake hands with me. She was real happy and all, telling me to look after myself, wishing me luck, bla bla... then put on that serious face again. "Remember what I said to you just now. Really.... don't bring back orang putih" Hah! Oh how I wish she was joking.......... =s
And Lydia! The sweet thing. She bought me a farewell gift but she was too shy to give it to me I think, so she passed to my sister to pass to me while I was 'slaving away' in the kitchen. So now, I have 2 new pairs of earings and a Kinder Joy to munch on =) I think I'm going to miss hearing her screams and shouts almost everyday at my house playing with my sister =))
I remember the last piece of advice my grandmother gave me back in Kuching. She told me, if I were to ever find a special someone over in Aus, I must tell her and bring him back to meet her. Then she launched her story of how she and my grandpa got together and eventually got married. Apparently, they were both from villages of opposite sides of a mountain. I thought of digging deeper and asking about the cheesy stuff but.. nah. Backed out in the end. Hahah. My grandpa said the same thing. Told me to bring my uni friends back to see the kampung, see how people live there. Ah! I'll miss them lots =(
I'll miss my family (both pets included), I'll miss using the beach way back home because the main road is too straight and boring, I'll miss the beautiful brown colour of the sea water, I'll miss the constant nagging ( or narcissistic drone as the great Leonard Hofstadter puts it lol ) from my parents hahah, I'll miss local food!! satayyyyy! noodle with beef tendon at 9to5, SOHO!, picking my sister up everyday from school and occasionally taking her out for ice cream after, picking and sending my brother to tuition, buying cheap pirated dvds, horrible Miri roads (they don't make sense) and much much more. sigh....
But it's not like I won't be back right? =)
Aussie better get ready.... >=)

in d comp lab wth my bio notes opened at the same page it was 30mins ago
So much has been going on. Too much to tell and most of the times I didn't have a camera with me so I can't summarize with just pictures. Hahah. Bah. Till the next time when I become opinionated again or when I have something to complain about, or when I went to something and took pictures, or when I like a guy, or if I like a girl, or if my other dog died or when I discovered a new word.. hey wait, I did. Serendipity. and serenity. Mind you I'm bad at spelling and this doesn't have spell check. Atleast this computer doesnt.
Bye.
Bye.

He's coming
God has been just so AWESOME this past week. Looking at what I've been through, and what my gurls back in Miri have been through, how can I not say that God is not real? Because He is. And He's coming very very soon, you'll see. When you hear the horn being blown, when you see the cloud descending, when people start to dissapear right out of their clothes, you'll see.
I'm shaking as I type this. Scary, no? I labelled this post under notifications; a public announcement. Get ready, believe, and you WILL see.
